This week I have been feeling very low; I injured my hip area while running a long run 10 days ago and since then it has been painful. Physio said it was due to extreme tightness but I think it is something else as pain is persevering. I am but being able to do any exercise apart from walking and I feel very down as I am always do active. Somehow my food has slipped too! But I have prepared my food for tomorrow and I am going to try the yoga too. I'm seeing my Physio again tomorrow afternoon and I do hope I can be told what my problem is and why it hurts so much. I want to be able to carry on training for my marathon in April!

I know how it feels. As someone who has ran a couple of marathons myself, I know how frustrating it can be when your injured.
As I'm sure you know, you need to heal or you'll set yourself further back. I sustained a back injury in August and I'm still paying for not listening to my physio and Doctor!

Thank you all, it means so much... Just done the stretchy yoga and even though I couldn't do all poses, it felt good!

Injuries are horrible they stop us doing the things we want to do. But at the end of the day if we have an injury we have an injury and we have to be positive. So accept your injured and start your journey to recovery. It may take longer than you want but pain is your body telling you it needs rest to heal itself. Remember love and respect your body, listen to it. In the long term being out for a few weeks is not a long time in the great scheme of life. Keep your chin up I'm sure it will get better with time X X
