I love smoothie bowls, and struggle not having them as part of the programme. This is mine, with banana, berries, acai, vegan vanilla protein, coconut water. Topped with activated and sprouted cacao buckwheat groats and bee pollen. A complete faff but really tasty and makes me feel good 😀

Hi Jen, it was a bit of a mammoth task, but soaked buckwheat overnight, then left them to sprout over a couple of days rinsing them twice a day. After that I mixed them with cacao powder, coconut oil and a little coconut nectar, and placed in the oven in a very low setting until they dehydrated and became crispy. I used about 250g buckwheat to 20g cacao, 30g coconut oil and a tablespoon of the nectar. Oven was at about 80-100•c for up to 4 hours. I make some crackers with left over pulp from juicer at same time as oven is in, and I hate waste!

How do you activate and sprout your groats and how did you make them cacao? X
