Both the salmon and mackerel recipes of week 3 call for paprika. Is it better to use sweet or hot paprika?

I use sweet because I don't like spicy food. I suppose you can pick whichever you like most. Or just mix them! Other recipes in the plant call for smoked which I believe is sweet.
