Out of interest, could someone tell me what the health benefit is of going gluten free if you're not gluten intolerant? Thanks! 😘

Great advice above, gluten is quite hard for our body to digest and we were never really designed to eat it! It can cause digestive problems and avoiding can improve these problems and alleviate any discomfort xxx

If it's any help oats don't contain gluten but are often made in factories that use gluten. Gluten free oats just means there is no risk of contamination. So unless you have an intolerance to gluten, gluten free oats aren't worth buying xx

Thanks for the replies! Great to have an expert Glowie to answer questions, Jen! And thanks for pointing me in her direction Pincess! Good to know about gluten. I've always been ok with it unless I literally eat a stack of white bread. Will stop buying gluten free porridge oats and save some pennies! 😀 xx

Ahhhhhhh thanks princess. Yes we have just covered this topic recently at uni and the scientific evidence suggests there is no health benefits to going gluten free unless you are intolerant. But it kind of depends what you are eating with gluten in for example if your eating loads of cakes it's not going to do you any favours but eating sourdough or good quality fresh bread, or wholewheat pasta etc then it's not going to be bad for you. A lot of the whole gluten few things is a bit of a fad that everyone has started to follow because some health gurus said it was bad. As long as it is coming from good food no need to steer clear unless intolerant X X X

Think it just makes us bloated or it does me. Jenhamer is good in this sort of thing as she is doing it at uni. Hopefully she can enlighten us! 💚
