I have a question regarding a problem of a friend of mine. She has severe problems with water retention in her legs. Does anyone have any tipps? Thank you!

I have the worst pitting oedema in the world. Im a nurse so on my feet a lot. I usually wear compression tights or socks.
However, sometime this happens even when I'm not at work and I found a huge connection to sodium and fluid retention. I just have to look at soy sauce and I'm puffy!
And alcohol. I've found that can sometimes cause my feet to swell.

Make sure see elevates her legs at the end of the day. Even sleep with a pillow at the bottom of the bed. Drink water to keep the kidneys working. And make sure she checks in with her doctor to rule out any medical concerns! 😘

My mum has recently started taking a herbal product called aqua-ban which has helped her with ankle swelling dramatically. If your friend takes other medicines it would probably be worth checking with her doctor/pharmacist before trying. Hope this helps http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/lanes-aquaban-herbal-tablets-60081526xx

Does she work a lot standing? Before bed it's really great to place the feet up the wall, and try not to let the legs hang when sitting. She can also try stockings (I don't know if thats the right word in english, in french it's "bas de contention"). Hope this helps!!
