Skincare question - Does anyone have any tips on naturally treating and preventing black heads? I've suffered from them since I was a child and not has day has passed since when my nose and forehead hasn't been covered in them! I've tried different cleansers, toners, moisturisers, exfoliators and pore strips, but nothing has worked. I'm really self conscious about them as they're so noticeable. I know they're caused by excess oil production, which is usually a result of dry skin. Any tips would be really appreciated. 💚

Thank you so much for the advice, everyone. I'll definitely try all of your suggestions, with the exception of drinking more water as I always drink around 3L a day and may explode if I drink more! 😂 Hoping to fight off these pesky little things once and for all. And pincess, that is such a lovely compliment - thank you. xx

Liv - if the skin isn't receiving enough moisture then it produces extra oil to compensate, mostly on the T- zone (forehead, nose and chin), so it's definitely worth moisturising well even if you have oily skin!

I have always had dreadful skin but took roaccutaine a few years ago which to me was a miracle cure! yes it has some not so great side effects but it works! I would suggest seeing a dermatologist, you can be referred by your gp and it's available on the NHS! I use liz earle hot cloth cleanser and must say I love it! agree with above posts ensure your skin is well moisturised!! even oily skin needs a good moisturiser as if your skin is well hydrated then it won't need to produce as much oil xx

Wait so blackheads are caused b dry skin?! I get them on my nose and j hate them but my skin is so dry elsewhere I found it confusing that my nose was 'oily'. I need to moisturise more?

Hello darling!
So I sometimes get a build up on my nose, and up until about 3 years ago, I was plagued with adult acne! As it it wasn't bad enough in my teenage years now I get them as an adult!! Ugh
Anyway... 😄 I have a Clarasonic that I use a couple times a week with a mild soy based scrub by aveno. Don't exfoliate too much as that can traumatise the skin more.
I try to make sure I wash my face every night and honestly I agree with Princess, drinking more water helps to flush out excess toxins.
I use kiehls products. I love their range and I actually use an oil on my skin at night because my skin is so thirsty!
Not sure if this helps! But thought I'd share some tips. Go an get a free consult with an aesthetician! Try not to walk out with lots of products like I do 😆

I would go for non comedogenic (think that's spelt correctly) make up X

I found mine cleared up (and I also had loads) when I started drinking lots of water. Worth a try. Your pic is gorgeous though so don't let it stress you too much 👍
