Hi!! I have found out I have a carb sensitivity (really bad) so I am having to almost fully cut out carbs or I am violently sick! Has anyone got any tips on how to ensure I am getting enough calories a day and enough nutrition each day?? Thanks !

Just to say GP doctors don't study one but of nutrition at uni, you would be Best to see a clinical nutritionist as they can help you. Cutting out carbs will have a huge negative impact on your health both short and long term so I would be very careful. Make sure your eating loads of root such as sweet pots butternut squash, parsnips and if you can quinoa and brown rice. Cutting out bread and pasta is fine if that upsets you but like I say see a clinical nutritionists as doctors as not great with diet. They still believe saturated fats are bad for us when that myth was debunked years ago X

Hello gorgeous I'm so sorry to hear that! It's best to see your GP and they can advise on your carb intake and ensuring you get enough calories especially when starting a new program. I would make sure to eat plenty of sweet potatoes, quality proteins, quinoa, buckwheat and good fats xx

I am wheat intolerant and it's tough at first cutting out but you remember how you feel when you're sick from it and you find alternatives xx

Told me to cut out completely and then re introduce one carb a week and see how I react if ok then add Another in, and keep on going that way! They have suggested the paleo diet! So I've just had a look.. It's low carbs but not carbs free & I can eat sweet potato on it which is a bonus as its my favourite ! X

Is it all carbs? That's really tough and maybe not that healthy. Have they referred you to a dietician for advice or just said avoid bread pasta rice etc? Poor you X

It is more likely you are sensitive to a particular food rather than carbs in general. Why not try to have starchy roots such as sweet pots, butternut squash, turnips, parsnips etc to keep carbs up. Having no carbs is actually very dangerous for the body as it cannot function properly without them. So I would be very careful about eliminating carbs from your diet X just eat healthy carbs and you should be fine X
