Hi Madeleine, I have a quick question. It looks like most people will be doing their work outs in the morning. I'm a nurse and and is going to be impossible for me as I'm at work for 7:30 everyday. My concern is about my energy levels. One date ball will not be enough to keep me going before I do the circuit. Is there a protein you recommend I can substitute? I just know from experience if I don't have enough fuel in my system, I become a shaky hypoglycaemic mess!
Thanks so much 😘

Hello! Some great tips above, I would suggest making a juice or smoothie as this is quick energy and easier on your digestive systems. So great to see you all giving one another advice 😘❤️

Firstly respect to the nurses! I'm not in that profession but I do often work 14-40 (not a typo) hours in a row & ive been trying to combat a severe weight problem at the same time. My personal trainer told me if I was going to train in the evening to go for carrots, peppers & other raw veggies with nut butter. I make my own with roasted almonds & a tiny bit of salt but meridian does a great one too. I find it really filling. Good luck lovelies!!

I know how you feel by the time I get back from a 12hour shift I'm ready For bed especially if I'm back the next day. Need something to keep my energy up

Ah fellow Nhs shift workers 😊 I always find exercise so difficult after a 12hour shifts so end up not doing any and just doing some on my days off! I again couldn't do a workout on an empty stomach! How do we get around this?!

Which marathon are you running! I ran Boston in 2012. So much fun but really hard work. I was thinking about doing the same re my meals. And have a smaller portion of healthy carbs late afternoon before exercise.

Hi! I'll be doing my work outs in the evening before dinner. I have a protein smoothie before - a Savse Smoothie if I have one otherwise I make it in the morning...... Keeps me going 💪

I am not a nurse but I am training for a marathon and therefore I am also planning to add some more healthy carbs... In fact I will be eating what's planned for dinner at lunch time, after my run and workout and what's planned for lunch at dinner...

Hello fellow evening work out friends 😀. It would be great to share tips on how you stay fuelled so one doesn't "hit that wall" with an after work workout.

I'm not a nurse, but I do start work at 7am. It's the time after work I'm concerned about - fitting in the workout/yoga and meditation, then making dinner, eating dinner and prepping everything for the next day! I'll make it work somehow!

Hey I'm also a fellow nurse think I will snack on a banana and other fruit. I'm also worrying about trying to fit in the workouts x
