Apart from a few dodgy days when unexpectedly had to eat out feel I'm doing ok - On week 3 and 4lbs lost and less bloated. Struggled to do more than 1 or 2 exercise sessions a week with the exhaustion from having two boys as the little one is up 6-8 times a night. Feel the next week might be challenging as it's coming up to that time of the month and I just want wine, chocolate and carbs! Don't want to ruin all my good work. Must stay strong.

Doing anything is so hard with not enough sleep. My youngest monkey has gut issues and is waking regularly in pain so until we get this sorted out for him its hard to see an end to the sleep deprivation! I hope you manage to get more sleep over time too. I have decided, like you said, to see this as a long term lifestyle change so my plan for the first eight weeks is to stick to the food (with a few extra healthy snacks on the days I feel the chocolate and bread calling me!) and do one or two yoga sessions a week after kids bedtime. I think this feels realistic for me and I love how calm yoga makes me feel. Hopefully the following 8 weeks I'll be either sleeping better or have more energy (hopefully both) and be able to pick up the workouts too. Good luck to you. X

My youngest has very poor sleep patterns too and can be up anything from 2-8 times per night as well. I have found it very hard to lose weight just 'winging it' because of sheer exhaustion some days and have just given up within quite quickly as I cannot cope energy wise . I'm looking forward to starting this on Sunday as it is more than just a diet. You are not alone in this one! My son has Down syndrome and is 8 years old, so I don't know how much longer his poor sleep will continue for! But I've got to the point where I'm sick and tired of feeling tired, lethargic and out of shape. Stay strong and keep going! Sleep deprivation is so much worse when it's combined with the food we crave in our down moments 😊 X
