Just found out my littlest monkey needs to be gluten and cows dairy free, and ideally yeast as well - yikes! As I'm breastfeeding I will need to be too. Going to try rice and almond milk to see if he'll drink these. Need an alternative to cheddar as he loves this for sandwiches/wraps and on jacket potato. I'd welcome any advice from others who've had to do the same. X

We've just tried soft goats cheese in a gluten free wrap and he ate a little so will persevere with this. Trying to limit yeast, not sure if nutritional yeast is ok so will check - never heard of it before! Have discovered he loves hummus which I've never tried him with before. X

Thanks for the advice guys. Need to try him (and me!) with these and see which ones he'll eat. At 16 months old he's not too picky at the moment so hopefully he'll like the alternatives. X

You can make a nut "cheese" with cashews and nutritional yeast if he's allowed it. It's different to yeast which rises. The cheese is like a sauce though.
