I'd like to make Maddy's Butterbean dip from her website , but need it to be nut free. Can anyone suggest a replacement for the almond butter ?

You can use tahini - it's sesame seed paste xx

Oh def do that if you can have tahini - I thought there was a sesame allergy or something xx

You literally just put the sesame seeds in the blender and blend. They go all thick to start with (maybe add a dribble of oil at this point) but if you keep blending for about 15 mins it goes all creamy. I lightly toast mine first but you don't have to. If you do make sure they don't go brown.
Happy days 😊

You can make your own tahini. Literally whizz up a batch of sesame seeds for about 15 mins in food processor and you have tahini 😊 nut free xxx

Thank you sabwade83, but it has nuts in too . I love tahini and have also just made a big pot of hummus , but unfortunately those I'm making for have a nut allergy .
