This sounds stupid but I'm so unhappy with my body right now. The worse I feel the less I want to move and exercise. Getting dressed is hard as I feel so dreadful at what my body looks like!! I know that exercising would change my body and make me feel better but how do I get started? Literally want to hide when I feel this way and the thought of exercise is actually scary!! Does anyone feel or have felt like this or have advice? X

As Jenny says it's worth sticking with the meditation does get easier I promise & over time it does help your mind stop racing in general so maybe just start with that one thing for 1-2 weeks & go from there! I read some books about meditation & how they apply to different contexts eg work which helped clarify things. But honestly we're here with you think small goals it all adds up! Xx

Stick with it! It takes time to learn how to switch off but you'll get if I promise. I started with it and always gave up but now it's really important for me to get in my daily meditation to help wind down and learn to love yourself. Xx

Thank you. Jenny I have tried meditation but never keep it up as my mind just races!! Find myself getting more wound up!! But knowing others feel this way is reassuring. Thanks for being so kind and taking time to respond! X

Hi KS22 I know exactly how u feel - I'm currently at my heaviest weight n have been on every 'diet' going n lived on 'convenience' food for the last 15 years - I stopped going out n most days just want to stay in bed n hide. However at the beginning of July I found Maddie's book Get the Glow n it just made sense! I'm now in week 2 n absolutely loving how I feel even after the first week not so bloated or sluggish - I'm only managing the yoga at the moment as I find the workouts a bit too much (for now) with a 30 min walk at lunch time and I take the stairs (5 floors) at work but it's more than I would normally do so I'm happy with what I'm achieving. Start little each day, don't beat urself up n be proud of what u achieve - u can do it x

Thank you for your kind comments!! I sound such a moaner but really feel repulsed by myself. I used to exercise regularly years ago but I don't know why I feel so hopeless and scared about it now!! 😫! I literally feel uncomfortable walking around as I feel so self conscious! I know I would feel better once Iv got started but the mind is a very powerful thing and the fear is overwhelming!! I don't even know what I'm scared of!! But I think moving makes me more aware of what my body has become!! Don't get me wrong- there's way more important things in life than what you look like but feeling this extreme low self esteem inside is just torture!! Xx

Hi lovely lady. I'm so so sorry you feel that was. But as Madeleiene says we are all here for you. Find something you enjoy and ease in to it. Shonas workouts are brilliant but you tube is also full of great videos you can do from the comfort of your own home. Don't be scared of it because I promise you you'll feel so awesome after you've done it. Even if it's just 15 minutes a day. But most importantly don't be too hard on yourself xxx

Hello gorgeous, I'm so sorry you feel that way!! Taking the first step is always hard but you can do this and we are with you 100%!! Try making small changes at first - getting up an hour earlier for a workout and going to bed earlier. You'll feel amazing for the rest of the day and make healthier choices- trust me you'll love the feeling xx

KS22 - this is me. I hear you, I am also an emotional eater and I have to secretly empty my car of all the food wrappers weekly as they build up and I worry my husband will see them. My only advice is find something you quite like and make it quick (20 mins of yoga, kettlebells, dancing, walking) make it as un- exercise like as possible. You want to do something you enjoy, or at the very best don't hate. X

Definitely!!

There's not much you can do but bite the bullet and force yourself... Once you get moving your happy hormones will kick in and you'll perk up... 1 go is normally enough to kick the cycle of not going.

Get some awesome music going and get yourself moving, you'll be into it in no time xx
