Is it just me or does the world of Instagram seem obsessed with posting pictures of their abs and weird poses to make their bottoms look more pert?! It seems like such a fake world to me? X

Thanks @RV_2016 I'm going to keep my page going as I love posting stuff but I'll just distance myself from posts I don't want to see or that bring about negative thoughts about myself xx

Hi @Jenny Quinn! I also do the same as @ksham. I intentionally go onto an inspirational instagram page for ideas and to make me feel happy so I don't actually have an account or really follow anyone religiously! It works well for me. Hope you find something that works for you too. Xxx

I'm sorry to hear that @Jenny Quinn and it must have been such a difficult time for you.
I think people don't realise some of the content they're putting out there can actually have a negative effect on others, but it makes them feel better, so they do it anyway. The important thing is to just follow people who you know will only upload things of real importance and not just random pictures of themselves 24/7. For example I follow so many beauty and food instagrammers and now, what with the new instagram layout which shows posts that they think will be relevant to you, it should be easier to separate yourself from those obsessive instagrammers who post photos of themselves all the time.
Something that I also do is when I need inspiration I go to an actual instagram account which I know will give me motivation as opposed to just scrolling through all the random pictures.

Hope this helped, Jenny.

I totally agree @ksham progress photos are fine and can be incredibly inspiring but others just seem self obsessed and for someone who had suffered with eating disorders for the 10 years, it can be very destructive xx

Yeah I'm not sure why people do this. It's fine to post photos of your body to track your progress but don't know why it's important to take photos of only one part of your body! X

I think I'm going to have to change the type of people I follow. It starts to make me think I should assess about my abs too but what for? What won't bring me happiness. What's your name on Instagram @RV_2016 xx

Couldn't agree more! That's the reason I only follow Madeleine and a few others who place importance on good food and health.x

Tell me about it @gingerglow a lot of it seems so fake too. Why can't people just be true to who they are? X
