โœ” 1) Eating late at night means your body is more likely to store it as fat instead of burn as energy. So a top tip is to think of the kitchen as closed. Clean your teeth and zone out with your favourite hot drink. If you really are still hungry, have a light snack that will satisfy you. My peanut butter and toffee popcorn, found on my website, is a good late night snack that will definitely satisfy. ๐Ÿ˜

โœ” 2) Breakfast will increase your energy levels and allow your brain to function effectively, itโ€™s SO important. So set your alarm a little earlier, prepare your breakfast to eat at home or on the go. If you arenโ€™t a morning eater, it could be as simple as chopping up some fruit and adding some yoghurt or making a smoothie that will last you all morning ๐Ÿ‡ Yummm.

โœ” 3) How to avoid that late afternoon piece of toast, chocolate bar or pack of sweets. First ensure your breakfast and lunch are good filling meals, prepare healthy snacks to stop these cravings, and find activities and jobs to keep yourself busy until dinner. Bake some protein balls or simply cut up a carrot ๐Ÿค—. Being prepared (utilising Sundays) is the most important factor in maintaining a good nutritious lifestyle - so, while you are cooking dinner tonight, start preparing your healthy snacks for tomorrow.

โœ” 4) I know all too well that when life gets busier, sometimes it's much easier to pop into your local shop or Costa, to grab some lunch. However, it's not cost effective and itโ€™s also hard to know what's in your food when you eat out - all those hidden calories ๐Ÿ˜œ. Make some time in the evening to prep your lunch or make extra dinner for leftovers for the next day - again ensure you are prepared. If not, there are a variety of apps that will scan products from shops and tell you the exact nutrients you are getting in your meal - keep on top of it! ๐Ÿ‘Œ
