Hey guys in need of some help and reassurance.I have just recovered from anorexia and am doing really well. I am eating a healthy balanced diet which consists of healthy carbs, fats , lots of veg, fruit, and protein in the form of eggs, chicken and fish. I posted a picture of my dinner on Instagram and it was chicken, and I recirved some really nasty comments from some vegans who said I should not be eating chicken and fish as I will get cancer and it is unhealthy. I know that eating processed crap meat is linked to cancer but lean meat and fish is healthy right? Now I am so confused as I thought it can be part of a healthy diet , especially as I work out in the gym quite a lot the protein helps me recover (I can't have beans etc cos I have bad IBS). I really don't need people telling me this as I am just getting back on the straight and narrow and don't want to feel the need to cut things out again. I'm really upset as I believe I am living and eating healthily now but these people have told me I'm completely wrong. I buy good quality chicken from my local butcher and my fish is always fresh. Can you give me any advice X X

I'm so sorry you had that experience on Instagram. You are your best healer. No one knows what your body needs better than you. By being here, you have chosen self love, which is the best gift. The community on glow guides has been positive and supportive so far—try posting here!

Don't listen to the trolls. I myself am a vegetarian and I believe as Madeleine does - there is no one "right" way to eat. Quality, organic chicken and fish, when balanced with lots of fruits/veggies/whole grains, is not going to give you cancer. Congrats on your recovery - I've been there - it's a tough road and you are stronger for it! ❤️

Sounds like you are doing the right thing, not that you should have to but perhaps avoid posting on Instagram if you are receiving negativity. Stick with the Glow Girls!! No negativity here. 😊

We are all entitled to eat as we choose and shouldn't judge or comment so nastily! You are amazing to post as you have and must have such strength to recover. Keep doing what you are doing. X

I am so so sorry to hear that, people can be so cruel. There is no one right diet. It's what's right for you. Processed meat can cause cancer but good quality chicken is good for you. My diet plan has been dietician approved. So please know that it is very balanced and healthy. Stay strong. Sending you light and love X

I think you are incredibly brave to have been so honest in your post about your personal struggles. When people are unkind and make unkind comments, it's a reflection of them and their attitude, not you or what you are doing. Eating organic meat is part of a well rounded healthy diet. It is their prerogative not to eat meat and it is yours too. Just focus on you and what your doing. It sounds to me like you are doing wonderfully - you should be very proud of yourself. Do not spend another second thinking or worrying about other people's negative unkind comments. Big hugs xx

Not nice. Triggers if my ED off when people say that. Lean meat and fish is fine. Aldi fish though not sure sea bass is is msc approved and ask local butcher if they do grass fed

Sorry to hear that you're getting horrible comments like that. Everyone has their own beliefs in what they consider healthy and not. In my opinion, chicken and fish are great sources of protein and perfectly healthy. Red meat in moderation. Try not take notice of the comments, and have faith in what you think is healthy. You're doing amazing ☺️ x

It sounds to me you know what your doing and working on being healthy.......... My advice is trust yourself and don't listen to nasty people........ I think balance in life is key and not listening to obsessive people!
